Sunday August 12th will be an exciting day at the tortoise sanctuary as Ann and Celia open up to the public and give friends and families the chance to see all the tortoises housed there. From babies to giants, they all live at the sanctuary. Come and see the babies, you'll be amazed just how small they are. There are literally hundreds to see in their vivariums and garden pens. There is even a terrapin pond which is fascinating for young and old alike . As for the giants, well they are just huge.
Our sponsor Tortoise Tom has kindly provided some of his special coffee which you can try on the day. If you like the Tanzanian flavours, there will be some packets on sale and 10p from every sale will go towards the sanctuary.
On sale during the day will be Tortoise food and also bric a brac. Please be sure to visit and bring your friends and family to this wonderful fun filled day out.
If you have a tortoise that is need of a nail or beak trim please bring it along as Ann and Celia will be available to give your shelled friends a little clipping.
Taking a gentle stroll through the garden with a Tortoise Tom coffee, it will be plain to see just how much hard work goes into running the sanctuary. You'll be able to look at the variety of tortoises that live here. The babies and giant breeds are all on show and looking forward to
meeting you !
